This is a list of vocabulary with their definitions that we are covering in class and will be found in your student's
Interactive Notebooks. I have tried to keep the definitions short, but clear.
genre--overall categories of a literary work (nonfiction, fiction, folktales, drama, and poetry)

subgenre--a smaller breakdown of genres that will fit into a bigger genre category
